Following an alleged domestic violence incident on Saturday night, suspended Oakland Raiders linebacker Aldon Smith has checked into rehab.
The incident happened Saturday night in San Francisco, according to what Smith’s fiancée told TMZ.

San Francisco police have sought Smith in connection with the incident. Reports confirm that Smith’s fiancée is the alleged victim. The victim states’

“the most important thing to her is that Smith gets help for his substance abuse problem.” She continues by adding
“I can tell you this … Aldon called my parents and asked them to take him to rehab,” the woman tells us.
“He complied. They went and got him. I was not there. My family took him and had him checked in.”
“I wish the BEST for Aldon. And I’m scared for his life with his addiction. I cannot comment on the altercation but I can tell you I love him and so happy he turned to my family who considers him family and hopefully he gets the help he truly needs.”

After the alleged incident occurred, the 28-year-old fled the scene before police arrived around 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Bush Street residence. Mercury News reports say via dispatch audio that Smith bit the victim’s wrist and climbed out the window to escape.
