Living with Type 1 diabetes can be difficult. However, Phoenix Coyotes forward Max Domi never let it get in the way of pursuing his dreams to play in the NHL. The young Phoenix Coyotes player has only been in the league since 2015, but he is making an impact both on and off the ice. Through his Instagram, he announced his latest work during November which is National Diabetes Awareness Month.

Happy National Diabetes day! Throughout the month of November @Contour_Ascensia will donate $1000 to @jdrf_canada every time I score a goal or get an assist. I will personally donate $500 dollars for each win the team gets this month! #GoYotes Help spread awareness by sharing this post or a simple LIKE!

Domi, who wears number 16 on his jersey in homage to famed played Bobby Clarke who also suffered with type 1 diabetes, was diagnosed when he was 12-years-old. He wears an insulin pump attached to his hip to regulate his blood sugar. Every 15 minutes during games he will leave the bench to test his blood glucose level.

Knowing that he will be donating $500 every time the Coyotes win should help soften the blow if your team suffers a loss against them. #GoYotes!
