Jalen Hurts has exceeded expectations, leading his team to a Super Bowl appearance, delivering one of the best seasons in the league, and proving himself as both a leader on the field and a scholar off it. All while maintaining unwavering focus and discipline.

Jalen Hurts has been going above and beyond long before he ever stepped onto an NFL field. His relentless determination for excellence and commitment to self-improvement have been key factors in his continued success both on and off the field,
Even after leading the Philadelphia Eagles to a Super Bowl appearance in the 2022 season he took the time to dedicate himself to earning a master’s degree in human relations from the University of Oklahoma. His drive to excel in both athletics and academics highlights his dedication to personal growth and long-term success, with or without the NFL.
“It was a goal that I set for myself and I think more importantly, it’s something that I started and it’s something I had to finish,” Hurts said on Monday at the NovaCare Complex. “I think it was the perfect time for me to do it, considering I was probably going to run out of time to finish it later on with my credits expiring and stuff like that. It’s important to me and it’s something that made my parents proud. I know my mom has her master’s already; my girl has her master’s. So, I’m chasing them (smiling). My best friend has his master’s. So, just chasing them. I’m glad I got it out of the way. It’s something off the checklist and I was able to knock out the classes online after everything settled from the season.”

Beyond his on-field accomplishments, Hurts’ unwavering success keeps him grounded not just as a role model, but as an individual who actively chooses to pursue excellence in multiple areas of life. His commitment to education reflects a broader vision for success beyond football, positioning him as more than just an elite athlete.
Earning his master’s degree in human relations isn’t just a personal achievement, it’s a strategic move that could open doors for him long after his playing days are over. With his intelligence and leadership skills, Hurts is laying the foundation to transition seamlessly into business, entrepreneurship, or even executive roles within sports and beyond.
