Christmas and football are joining forces in a unique blend this holiday season with the Hallmark Channel and the NFL teaming up for a new Christmas movie titled Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story. This marks the 16th annual Countdown to Christmas event for Hallmark. The exciting news was shared by Damar Hamlin, and production is set to begin later this year. The film will be shot entirely at various locations throughout Buffalo, New York, bringing the city’s festive spirit to life on screen.

Darren Abbott, Chief Brand Officer, Hallmark has expressed his excitement for the partnership by stating “The incredible success of last year’s partnership with the NFL and the Kansas City Chiefs far exceeded our expectations. We are thrilled to team up with the Bills this year for a new holiday movie filled with heart, family and the classic Hallmark storytelling that our fans know and love, all set against the special community the Bills franchise has nurtured throughout its storied history.”
The movie will be shot in the Bills current stadium, which is set to close at the end of the 2025 season before the Bills open the new Highmark Stadium in 2026. This partnership is guaranteed to bring in more viewers for both the NFL and the Hallmark channel. With over 75% of Hallmark Channel viewers watched the NFL during “Countdown to Christmas” last year.
