A’Ja Wilson’s Signature Shoe Release

WNBA Star, A’Ja Wilson, is Nike’s latest female athlete to get her own signature shoe. Coming off of her MVP Season and Gold Medal performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Nike gave Wilson the nod to come out with her own signature sneaker.

The lead designer of the shoe, Ben Nethongkome, said that when designing the shoe “so that when girls lace up, they channel A’ja’s encouragement through her footwear, knowing they can be like her one day.”

After almost a two year process of creating the shoe itself, the “A’One” finally made its debut to the public eye. They have made their in-game debut before, with Miami Heat star and Wilson’s boyfriend, Bam Adebayo, wearing them in an away game against the Brooklyn Nets on February 7, 2025.

While Wilson herself has not publicly worn her shoe, she has worn them in Nike commercials, photoshoots and other advertisements.

Wilson’s shoes are four different shades of pink, with the signature logo on the tongue of the shoe and on the sole.

The A’One and the “Pink A’ura” colorway are both set to go on shelves on May 6, 2025 and the price of the shoe will be $90 for children and $110 for adults.

The list of her individual and team accomplishments include –  2x Gold Medalist, 2x WNBA Champion, 3x WNBA MVP, 6x WNBA All-Star, WNBA Rookie of the Year, 3x USA Basketball Female Athlete of the Year, NCAA Champion, and winner of the Best Female Athlete award at the ESPY’s.
