The NHL All-Star game is fast approaching. While the NHL may not be able to outdo their success with John Scott, they have brought in some big names like Wayne Gretzky to help celebrate the weekend with a All-Star Celebrity Shootout. The best part – the money raised will benefit Echoes of Hope.

The celebrity shootout features Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux as head coaches whose teams will face each other. They pulled in some big names for the assistant coaching positions too: Robin Thicke, Alyssa Milano, Pat LaFontaine and Retta. The full rosters will be announced tonight, but expect to see some of your favorite hockey loving actors and musicians.

The game is a part of the NHL’s season long celebration of their centennial year. The celebrity shootout pays tribute to the 100 Greatest NHL Players honorees and celebrities from the movies, tv, and music. Money raised will go to Echoes of Hope, which is a non-profit organization that assists at-risk youth who are pursuing a post-secondary education with the resources they need.

While this may not include the charm of the story that was John Scott, seeing some of our favorite stars in this game could be a lot of fun.
