Tom Brady announced the release of a brand-new book. It’s got recipes in it, and pictures of food. But. “It’s not a cookbook!” he corrected with a laugh in a recent GQ interview. “It’s a nutrition manual!”

Described on his company (TB12) website as a “limited-edition ‘living document’,” the book features “information about our core TB12 nutritional philosophies and a library of 89 seasonal recipes you can use to support your TB12-aligned nutrition plan.”

Printed on thick 100-pound text paper and bound in a natural wood (maple, to be exact) with a laser-etched TB12 logo and title, the book, again as it’s described on Brady’s site, is “designed to be modified and expanded over time using its unique screw-post binding: as we periodically update the manual with new or modified recipes, we will send additional pages to all purchasers of the manual.”

So recipes forever is a good argument for the price tag. Tom Brady’s name and logo laser-etched onto a wooden cover is another. Eating as well as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time? Priceless.

While the manual is sold out and the pre-order period is closed, new editions will be available in early June.
