Terrell Owen’s New Career

Three years ago Veteran NFL Star Terrell Owen’s team came in second in Set Magazine’s Annual Bowling Tournament. I was impressed with his presentation, leather carrier on wheels, custom ball and gloves. I thought to my self, “he looks like a pro”. Well, now he is one, Terrell Owens has decided to become a professional bowler and team owner. Terrell owns the Dallas Strikers, one of eight teams in the new Professional Bowlers Association. With his charisma, competitive nature and passion for the sport, we know he will be a bright addition to the sport.

The NFL’s second-leading receiver all time by yards, made his semi-professional bowling debut this week, rolling games of 185, 129 and 161 for a 475 series at the United States Bowling Congress Open Championship, according to NFL.com.

Wade’s World

Not only is he an 3x NBA Champion, 9x NBA All-Star and NBA Finals MVP along with a host of other basketball accolades, Dwyane Wade was just recently the recipient of the BET Humanitarian Award for the outstanding work he does in the community. Dwyane Wade has partnered with former teammate and future Hall of Famer Alonzo Mourning to participate in various community service and charitable acts, but it is Dwyane Wade’s foundation, Wade’s World that serves as the face of his community involvement.

Wade’s World Foundation first blossomed in 2003, but has been a seed in Dwyane ever since he was 7 years old. At that age Wade remembered watching the local news and recalled a segment where various celebrities and public figures would visit area schools to interact with the students. The effect it had on them would be one they’d carry with them for the rest of their lives. From that moment on he knew that he wanted to be in a position where he could have that same effect on the youth that he saw when he was a child. Dwyane Wade wasted no time and soon after he was drafted, in his first season with the Miami Heat he started the Wade’s World Foundation.

The Wade’s World Foundation serves the Chicago, Milwaukee, and South Florida communities, because of the close ties that Dwyane has with each of these areas. Over the 10 year course that the foundation has been in operation it has hosted various events some spontaneous others annually. In the Chicagoland area Dwyane Wade and the Wade’s World Foundation started an annual event in 2008 called Wade’s World Weekend or more commonly known as W3. Wade’s World Weekend is a four day event that will host a talent showcase, back to school celebration, a youth summit and many more events that will involve the community as well as influencing youth of our future. This years event will begin on September 5th and conclude on September 8th and will be the 10th anniversary of the Wade’s World Foundation.

The BIG WEDDING WEEKEND is Sept 13- 15, 2013 It will be fit for a King!!!

We do mean King James. Lebron’s been with his fiancee Savannah Brinson since high school and she is about to take center stage. The couple has two children and live together. As the future wife of the most dynamic player in the NBA today, all eyes will be on her. In the past Savannah has taken a back seat on the the media train. But now it looks like she’s gearing up for the conductor’s seat. She recently hosted a charitable event where she helped 100 underprivileged girls with prom dresses. The selected girls came from her home town of Toledo Ohio and her current home in Miami. She also took time to speak to the young ladies about her prom night anxieties and hair challenges.

When asked about her efforts she said “I can’t imagine being in their situation and not have somebody help,” said Brinson, whose wedding is scheduled for this summer. “I really care. It’s really in my soul to help people, and this is the first baby to come from it. There comes a time when you have to give back.” When Lebron was asked about her efforts he said “I just think she has a knack for being powerful,” James said. “Women are more powerful than men. Her voice and her being my sidekick, her voice is very powerful, especially to these young women who are underprivileged”.

In March, it was reported by Ian Rapoport that they were considering letting the AFC and NFC captains pick their teams. Now, a source says the NFL is talking about turning the roster selection process into an annual reality show.
