We’ve heard of climbing mountains for sport but never playing atop a glacier.   That’s just what Tony Parker and the French ASVEL Villeurbanne team did against the Swiss League.  Everyone on top of the Aletsch Glacier in the Swiss Alps, 2.15 miles above sea level at approximately 30 degrees. Brrrrr!

Most of the players had to wear sun glasses because of the intensity of the UV rays.

“I’m always up for new challenges, so when Tissot, my long-term partner, suggested I play a game at the top of Europe, I thought it was a great opportunity to do something exceptional,” Tony said, via EuroHoops.net. “We don’t often get to play often in such extreme conditions.”
