3 months ago, the Ultimate Fighting Championship was sold to WME- IMG for $4 billion, making this transaction the largest in sports history. Through the investment made by WME-IMG, 23 celebrities, many of which are represented by the agency were presented the opportunity to buy into ownership with a minimal investment of $250,000.00. Other celebrities include Adam Levine, Cam Newton, Tom Brady, Maria Sharpova, The Weeknd, Anthony Kiedis, Michael Bay, LL Cool J, Trey Parker, Tyler Perry, Jimmy Kimmel, Rob Dyrdek, and Sylvester Stalone.
“Expanding our ownership group to include this caliber of talent and entrepreneurs is a strong indicator of UFC’s fast-growing global presence,” UFC President Dana White said in a press release. “Our new investors bring an incredible depth of knowledge and experience to help us continue to elevate this brand and capitalize on its entertainment and sports crossover appeal.”
